Unseasonably chilly here for days. Got a front coming through tonight that is pulling some warm air from the Gulf, but when it passes through we'll be even colder.
Opened the windows and turned off the heat so I could get acclimated to the cold. And put a thick sleeping bag on top of the covers, LOL.

It got to 100 yesterday. Stayed warm over night and the temp is dropping now, down to 73, with a cool breeze and a few spots of rain falling. Yay. Although it didn't feel really hot yesterday because the ground and everything is still cool the sun sure did have a bite to it!

Wet! Yes, the ground is wet! It has been raining on and off for about 4 days. An occasional heavy shower or thunderstorm mixed in with patches of light rain. Apparently it got to 60F yesterday but it sure didn't feel like it. Cold, glorious cold! Yippee!

Almost got up to 80°F (26.6°C) but it didn't feel like it. I was out mulching leaves in the yard and it was just pleasant, not really warm. Didn't last long though...

Hot. 100F today. Very calm too, but it is awesome when a bit of breeze comes through. I was wondering if it would ever stop raining. About 2 inches of rain for November (that is a lot) but it was patchy, some areas got a big rain dumped on them with hail and wind, other areas had gentle rain. This happened over most of southern Australia. It has nearly all evaporated now though!

Glorious weather. Down to 45 last night. around 80 forecast for today. Nice warm sun moderated by a cool southerly breeze. Very little cloud so good for solar. Getting up into the 90s in the next couple of days then dropping back again. Here's hoping for another mild summer.

We had all four seasons in the last two days, LOL. It went from balmy and warm with no wind at all to cold torrential downpour and high winds in less than a half hour yesterday. Today started off cold and overcast and then a couple hours later it was springtime. I don't know whether to run the a/c, the heat or just turn it off and open the windows.

Had 5 days above 100F. Phew, roll on winter. Fortunately it won't go over 90 for the next week.

Yay. For the last two weeks I have been parking my car in the sun. For most of the year Aussies park in whatever shade is available regardless of how far away it is! Some nights down to less than 40F and days around 60-70F. Won't be long before we get a frost, the dew has been heavy some mornings. Lovin' it.

The Greater Metropolitan Austin Area is having the hottest May on record.
The recorded history goes back only to somewhere around the 1880’s. 140 years plus or minus.

We're having a spell of nice cool weather here. It's 68°F (20°C) right now inside at noon here and the A/C is off. I was supposed to go with my wife to visit her niece in Round Rock, Texas (northern Austin suburb), and do some pig hunting around Killeen while I was there (50 miles north of Austin). Then I saw the weather forecast for Killeen - going up to 103°F (38°C) next week! YIKES! I'm staying put, LOL

More lovely cool weather. It didn't even get to 60F today. There has been over an inch of rain in the last month or so. This may not sound like much but it keeps the dust down and turns the country green, not brown!

Really enjoying the 60F weather. It can get as low as freezing at night but usually around 40. Much wood has been burned in the fire, yippee! I love burning stuff. Not a lot of rain, just a shower or two every couple of days which is keeping things damp. There may even be crops this year if it keeps raining. Feed and crops are about ankle to calf height ATM. The kangaroos don't know what to do with themselves with this much tucker around!

A photo taken from the side of the road. Local cattle eating green feed that isn't irrigated.
