Highs in the 90s and lows in the 60s. Nice! Had two mornings in the 50s recently and there was some dew on vehicles and solar panels! Unusual in summer.
Just saw an image of a pickup with the tub full of snow. Weird!

High today 31 low tonight 19. There continues to be a layer of ice on everything and the forecast for today includes more snow and ice. Schools are cancelled and they are encouraging people to stay off the roads except for emergencies. We still have power but not sure hw long. There is a load of firewood covered by the back door just in case.

No matter where you live on what continent or state mother nature can be a mean b****h Apparently in TX many of the power companies actually turn the power OFF to protect the infrastructure from over demand damage, similar to what CA does in its firestorms.

it's 15F right now. the power came on twice. in which I managed to get all the rechargeables, recharged.. I even took advantage of it by heating some food in the microwave.. the central heat got things warmed up in here.. I'll be extremely happy when my new propane heater gets here.

Boat loads of Texans, Okies etc really in the sh1t at this moment. Hearing on other forums of southern preppers who have been storing water in blue barrels and other water containers that have frozen and burst flooding their homes. Loads others the gas supply is off along with water and sewage because they are all electrically pumped to consumers
jim remember to make sure your propane bottles are not to cold or the gas wont vapourise so the heater wont work.

Sunny and calm right now so I took a walk. I was wearing insulated hunting pants and my legs still got stiff from the cold.

Yet another snow last night. Still under a winter storm advisory but think the worst has went through. Doctors appointment yesterday had to travel west off the mountain the ice was awful in the trees and power lines. Power continued to blink on and off at the doctor's office. Do not know how that area fared last night but if they got the snow we did I imagine it brought a lot of limbs and lines down.

It hit 100 degrees yesterday, was 73 this morning, went close to 100 today (if it didn't get there) and is forecast to be a few degrees warmer tomorrow. Dropping down about 10 degrees after that. Was windy today but, thankfully, not enough to kick up a dust storm. Not as hot as usual for an Aus summer but "I no complain"!
