This is by Selco... I consider him to be a reliable source of information about EOTW situations. www.shtfschool.com/the-5-first-symptoms-of-shtf/After reading this article, do a mental comparison to the CURRENT situation, locally, nationally and globally. I found an uncomfortable similarity to our current situation, in all three scopes of view. Symptom 1: More violence in your area Symptom 2: Group behavior changes, survival brings people closer and makes others less human Symptom 3: Dead streets Symptom 4: New leaders emerge Symptom 5: Nobody to trust anymore While I currently live in a relatively small town which is comparatively safe, I'm here because of serendipity, not because of prior planning. Some of you may not be so fortunate... I'm urging ALL of us to do an analysis of what we see happening. Get online and search (NOT WITH GOOGLE! ) Read both MSM (Main Stream Media) AND Alternative news sources. You might start by reading the reader comments which follow this article... Adjust your Prepper Plans according to what you see happening, in all three scopes of view. DO take the time to report, here, about what you are seeing in your area. Curious minds NEED to know. Your information may help others from this community. Let me start by pointing to the increase in Very destructive fires, around the world. This falls under Symptom 1. What do you see?

Wow. Selco is still around! I haven't seen anything from him in many years.
Things haven't changed too much here locally. Life just keeps moving along. The main complaints that I hear about are costs, but that isn't a surprise. We are definitely in a slow controlled downward slide, but not quite to a point where the masses are noticing it. Yet.

RE Symptom 5, this is all the more reason to build a set of close friends. Personally, I can count that set on the fingers of one hand and I am suspicious of larger groups (of any kind). I ignore calls to "get on the band wagon" wherever it may appear to be headed. This is particularly true of any/all political groups...
