I'm reading reports of rice shortages and corresponding price increases. Reports also say that India has closed all rice export... www.marketplace.org/2023/07/28/indias-ban-on-certain-rice-exports-sends-some-u-s-consumers-scrambling-to-find-it-on-store-shelves/So, how's your rice stockpile? Now is NOT the time to go into panic buying of rice, that time was last week. This is also a red flag warning. The thing to do now (IMO) is to look at other commodities, particularly foods, which may follow the trend as shown by rice. NOTE: we are close to the end of the northern hemisphere growing season (harvest time is the next two months, August-September. Think Beans and other legumes plus other grain crops. Check your stockpiles of food commodities with an eye to possible shortages and price spikes. I am ready to say "I told you so"... But that would be rude... TWP

Since my wife is Chinese we used to eat rice two meals a day. But we have started eating white sweet potatoes instead of rice a lot of the time. Much more nutritious than rice. I air fry them.
