At least no injuries to you and your family.
Why were meats harmed? I would think that raw meat, kept in a refrigerator, would have a storage life of at least 24 hours, assuming the 'frig wasn't opened to much. What is your daytime temperature like?
I'd have thrown them on the BBQ grill and then back into the 'frig when power came back on...

I had to open it a couple of times . plus a couple of meat's were in there long enough where I figure it's best to trash it.they weren't vacum sealed.

We have a monthly shopping trip and the meats all get frozen immediately. That means about a cubic foot or more of meat in the 'frigtop freezer. Even if we lost power for more than 24 hours, that block of frozen meat will remain solid for at least 48 hours.
Any raw meats kept in the 'frig (not frozen) are there to thaw and immediately cook. A power outage would mean that they get thrown on the BBQ grill.
Since we live in an apartment complex (+/- 300 units), I'm uneasy with cooking outside on the complex's BBQ grill, I don't want to advertise that we have food. Of course if it only a temporary power outage, there will be less danger of revealing our food resources, but I would take into consideration the cause of the power outage. Anything which might be effecting a large area, like the entire town/state/country would raise red flags and we would go into bunker lockdown mode and/or get ready to G.O.O.D. and head to possible BOLs...
I'm also starting to cook bulk amounts of meats after we get back from the monthly shopping trip, they then get cooled and put in the freezer.
Another factor is the price of meats in our local stores. It is climbing. No actual shortages (yet), but I'm expected that to happen based on what I'm reading online.

Raise in prices and throwing away meat,is two things I don't like.but yet.40+ hours of no electricity. I'll throw it away before taking any unwarranted chance's with my health. especially seeing how I'm already not in the best of health already.
