Gas seems to be back in stock in my area with prices hovering just under the $3 mark. At the height of the shortage local stations did run out and many started to limit the amount of gas that could be purchased at one time. In this area atleast it was a repeat of the " Great Toilet Paper Shortage of 2020" and created mostly I believe by the panicking masses and fueled by the media. Of course in the middle of this my husband and I made a trip from Tennessee to Louisiana after the death of my brother. I will say it made traveling interesting to say the least.
My take away is that it is frightening how vulnerable our fuel supply was to a threat supposedly half way around the world. Fortunately we keep about 20 to 30 gallons of gas on hand at any given time. We live on acreage and always need gas for mowers, string trimmers, tillers, ATV's and the boat. So we were okay for a short period of time. After returning home we were able to park our larger vehicles and use the smallest and most gas efficient vehicle to conserve gas. Things seem to be back to normal now as far as the availability of fuel goes but it does remain higher in price.

I'm hearing that the ransomware issue has not been solved and that they are still not using their accounting software. If this is true, fuel prices may be high for quite some time. Has anyone heard any news about the national stores being released to alleviate some of the issues?
