Wearing a mask for this thing is the same as wearing long pants to protect yourself from mosquitoes while also wearing a short sleeved shirt. Sounds good but not really gonna do much.

Our NHS tells us the masks do NOT protect YOU, they protect everyone else FROM you if you are infected. Most people APPEAR ( uncertain) to be infecting themslves by touching contaminated surfaces and people then touching their own faces. Person to person infection transfers is normally by the infected exhailing aerosols as they breath and talk which then lands on or is inhailed by the person they are talking to. So the MASK disrupts the spread of the virus FROM the mask wearer to the uninfected. It still needs scrupulous hygiene protocols to not become infected by touching surfaces or tissue that the virus has settled on.
In New Zealand they believe the second outbreak after total lockdown was caused by the Corona virus surviving for days on the plastic wrappers of imported meats from china, The kiwis handled the packaging at the import and distribuition centers thus infecting themselves again.
