In a village in Timor Leste, about 20 years ago, I saw a group of armed men enter a village. They bayonetted the pregnant women, cutting out their unborn children and throwing them into a fire. The young girls were pack raped then murdered. The men, boys and older women were herded into a church, which was then set on fire. Anyone trying to escape the flames was shot. I had the power to stop this, but I thought someone there should have found it in their hearts to bring this atrocity to an end. I just watched on, without care or compassion. I am God.

He did stop evil once, but decided to never do it again.
[Gen 8:21 NASB] 21 The LORD smelled the soothing aroma; and the LORD said to Himself, "I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man's heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done.
[Jer 17:9 KJV] 9 The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Mankind is the problem, not his creator. You have a choice between good / evil, life / death.
You are blaming the manufacturer of man for the miss use of the product, like saying Remington is responsible to someone killing another with their gun. YHVH gave you the ability to have a clean heart by following his Torah, but...
[Isa 53:6 KJV] 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

That's a decent analogy Jim, apart from Remington not being able to see all and know all. But I do accept that God would be extremely busy if he (she/it?) wanted to interfere every time man did some evil. As a species we are pretty messed up.
I'm happy just believing in myself and trying to live a moral life,

"Do your religious beliefs play a part in your Prepping?" I don't see where we left the topic? You religious beliefs play a part in everything you do, including prepping. There, stated the obvious I guess we should close the thread since it's religious in nature and in the Religion section. "rolleyes"
But even so...
I have collected many translations of the Bible over the years, I suspect I will be handing them out soon enough to new believers when they find themselves in the "foxholes" of SHTF or coming judgement and are lucky enough to see the light.
Back on topic? Like you said....
"t's a vague question..."

i no longer go to church and all..but yet certain versus are good to live by from day to day.
"But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel."-- 1 Timothy 5:8
A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished. Proverbs 22:3 NKJV
"It is easier to prepare and prevent, than it is to repair and repent."
There none so blind,as those that will not see.
prepping is Common sense. on account it takes common sense to prepare for what ever life throws at you.

My religious beliefs no. My spiritual beliefs, yes. I differentiate the two. I was raised in a formal religion but, have found that I do not need the middle man so to speak. I do follow my gut, i call it the Universe speaking. So far, it has been pretty much spot on throughout my life.
I believe if they wish, every human has the ability to have a personal relationship with the Higher Power and "religions" have a way of creating friction between otherwise good people. In a grid down situation, I want good people with me and mine and their religion does not matter to me as long as they are likewise able to accept others.
